Cool elephant, but that is some very jittery looking out of focus rendering from that 100-400. Anything unusual with the processing ?

It almost looks when high resolution sensor shift is used on slightly moving foliage and you get a weird double exposure look

That's the post processing, I tried something different to create another look.

here you go with a standard post processing:

Did you RAW process through Lightroom? I wonder how the foliage would look reprocessed through Iridient X-Transformer?

I never ever use Lightroom. I process through ID and then PS, sometimes Luminar.
The effect is the result of a glow filter effect.

For some reason I find my eye going to the foliage before the elephant, even with the bright highlight on the elephant's right ear and head. I think it may be an apparent sharpness in the bokeh that is overpowering the incredibly fine and interesting detail in the elephant.

A very interesting exercise in photographic visual interest.
