Beautiful, and I too will thank you for the info. Scott and I have gone out and tried this and I have not had much luck on getting the focus correct. If I'm rambling I'll delete this.

Tracking is not needed for wide angle, short exposure shots such as this which is gorgeous. Quick question for the OP: DId you set up your tripod for the twilight shot and then leave it as-is for the night shot? Or was the Milky Way shot a separate composure? Also 14-24 lens at 14mm? TIA, Dave
