for these Cattle Egrets. They never stopped flying back and forward from their nests, bringing nesting material. I spend more than two hours watching their frenetic activity. They weren't pay much attention to me and sometimes were flying very close to me. When I left they were still working.
C&C welcome,
Socrate
What a beautiful series Socrate, the clouds provide a lovely pastel BG for these very pretty Egrets.
Your exposures are excellent and I really like seeing the under-wing detail from the topside light.
1 and 2 are my favorites but I thoroughly enjoyed each image... wonderful work on some very busy builders Socrate.
These are spectacular, Socrate! Such a beautiful species when caught with breeding plumage; the IF poses (with or without nesting material) are icing on the avian cake. The first and last shots really caught my eye (they look like two frames from the same sequence), because the upward arc of the wings is continued with the branch...looks like the bird is reaching towards the sky a bit like icarus.

Socrate, these are wonderful with great detail . Love 1 and 4
Birdie
Thank you for the words, Birdie. I was able to get some good detail since they were flying really close to me. The majority of these are full frame the rest just a bit cropped:.
This gives you an idea of what I'm talking about

Thank you, Kirk. Appreciate you kind comments
These were taken at the same place I shot the Caracara. I believe it was the next day. Beautiful days with the right clouds on the sky for a pleasing bg The light was kind of harsh as these were taken at mid-day. But the birds were given so many opportunities I had all the time to dial in a good exposure

Thank you very much, Greg You are right the first and last are frames of the same sequence. This in particular was my favorite sequence. I have other frames with the wings down, a pose I don't like much.
Here is one, the frame next to the last one.
It was kind of hot and I doubt Icarus would have been able even to take off. The wax would be already melted
Socrate
You sure stretched out the whites and the details in this set. You always have nice clouds in your blue skies
Stick carriers 1,5 are sweet. #1 Looks like the Peace Dove, great shot.
I really like #2 but maybe the top wing is just a bit too bright for my likes
Cloud at bottom of #3 looks a bit odd
Hmm #4, makes me wonder what was below
These seem like you were able to get very close, details are quite amazing.
Impressive open feel to shadows yet enough to be a nice accent and add contrast.
Great set, Socrate. Terrific work balancing the whites and shadows. Looks like some close up shooting action, which is not so easy for in flight work. Well done.
