Wonderful images Conrad..perhaps when you make it back out to the NW I'll get to join you this time, sure looks like you guys had a good time. That is one thing about the NW people don't realize...summer is usually pretty sunny. Pano is wonderful, glad you enjoyed yourself. Your shots ranged from my old haunts to my new ones
Holy cow Conrad, were we shooting at the same place, at the same time and with the same equipment? You are really making that stuff sing. It looks like there is a point to shooting 5,000 images to get the poses you did. I just love the here's looking at you eagle. I am glad you had so much success from such poor light. Bruce
great series conrad! really feeling the oystercatchers, they are some of my favorite birds. the eagles shots are great, very jealous as i have never shot these before!
Enjoyable as ever CT! Good to see you got time to get as many good ones as you did
Was wondering why the BE had such a broad wingspan in #20, but then saw two
#26 - pretty cool angle, those visible legs add to the action
#30 - awesome pano this
Back for a serious comment CT, 5 & 10 are stunners, the class of the set IMHO. 8 is really cool in its own fun way, head on shots usually aren't the best but this on demonstrates just how adapted these guys are for this feeding method. Got any with 2 feet dragging ?
Great to see and Morris had fun and you got to meet an FM lurker, something I always find interesting when it happens. Sorry I couldn't make it to Seabeck with you guys but I have to pay for this gear somehow!!!
Great images, Conrad! Love, love the oystercatchers!
It was so fun to see you and share some of the great northwest with you. Glad it was worth coming out for!
Conrad, it was fun shooting the skimmers, terns, and plovers but I would trade laying in a parking lot for trudging through the sound to shoot the eagles! What a phenomenal set. Again, f5.6 on my lens looks nothing like that!
