Here are some herons from an overcast morning just before the rains came. The soft diffused light was doing wonderful things to the herons coming into the shallows to feed. I had a ton of fun photographing these guys. I spent a couple of hours there on Saturday in the sun and Sunday in overcast then rain. Had a great with time with Jay (sirfishalot) for those of you who remember him. We 2 wonderful mornings full of smiles and long bursts!

Love the majestic pose in #1, and nice action in #4 and 5. #2 is killer too, if only you had a bit more room on left.

Stellar set bud. Isn't it great being able to shoot at high ISO with little noise? I sure like that on my baby 1D X - that being the 5D Mark III of course.

You sure got some great poses here.
