Both of these are really nice , I prefer the wide image which includes the grasses I think they add to the overall comp adding an additional textural element.Regards, Dean
Thank you all very much for the feedback and comments; it's very much appreciated!
(Sorry for the slow response...been camping over the weekend.)
Mark: I really loved that it happened that way too! 30% chance of thunderstorms and I end up waking up to this...quite satisfying!
Tim: Yes, it was close to our sunrise location back then.
Valerie: Absolutely an exhilarating experience...I even took some time just to relax and take in the moment. Sometimes I get too overwhelmed and in a must-photograph-everything mindset instead of simply enjoying the scene.
Marshall: I've been really pleased with my move from southern Idaho. At first I was disappointed by the lack of public lands nearby but I've embraced the backroads and farmland of the Palouse.
The Palouse is truly enchanting...have driven through several times, am always blown away...and that was when the sky was blue and boring. Really great shots, almost makes me wish my niece was still going to school in Moscow for an excuse to see the area in person again.
I just told my gf last week that we're taking a long drive next time we visit Mom (Spokane), and this is where we're going. I'm almost afraid to show her these pics...it might seem boring if we see bright blue skies, after these great shots.
Thanks for sharing, brought nice memories.

Wow...thank you all very much for the feedback and the voting. I've had a friend ask about the first shot as a print. Time to get busy printing! Thank you all again!
