Had another wonderful afternoon at the pond... always feel so fortunate to have such excellent low angle access to these beautiful birds.
Light was good, and the BG's are magical this time of year.

Wow Kirk, these are some killers. I like all of them. I was headed that way Thursday but went to BC instead. Dont have any baby Avocets in files so Im gona run down there in the next day or two. The flight shot is stellar but the last Stilt is the outstanding, About as good as it gets.
I would suggest learning something about exposure and shooting angle, that may help to improve these.
Oh my Kirk, excellent work as always. Nits are you kidding I want these on my drive!!! Goodness the youngin coming into plumage is a precious shot my friend, I just love it. I'm going back and fourth between the last two as if I can pick one over the other, nuh uh, aint happening. Two stunners. Don't know how you got the dof you did in 4 but I'm not complaining!!! The final is making me want to throw all my stilts away
