p.1 #1 · Birds of Malaysia Part 4 - Mesia and Bee Eater [10]
Congratulations to mallardg500 for winning Feature Thread of the Week with 16 votes - View Previous Winners
Part 4 of the trip: Silver-eared Mesia and Blue-throated Bee Eater - not as bad lighting as previous posts.
This Mesia can be found in abundance in one of the popular birding spots in Malaysia called Fraser's Hill - beautiful resort for relaxation as well as bird photography. Highly recommended.

Phoo, I agree wholeheartedly with (and have very little to add to) what Tim and Tom had to say. The Silver-eared Mesia is a beautiful bird, and that first shot is really spectacular. A privilege to see these images, and an inspiration. ~Greg

I think I'd hang my camera up after getting a set this strong. What else is there to strive for? Beauties, with #1 being an absolute beauty. Many hats off to you Phoo.

Thank you much Tim. Everyone should plan a birding trip to Malaysia and Thailand one day - during birds migration season - as you can see despite my trip being rather late of the year yet I was able to enjoy much still.
