Dentx, in my view this is a very solid set, pictures # 3 and 6 really stand out, followed closely by #2. Maybe (big maybe here) # 3,4 and 5 could have worked a little better with a tighter crop, but really a matter of taste at this point.
Superb control over the exposure and light. Which gives even more valor to the magnificent capabilities of the Canon 85mm f1.2.
Actually it's a little annoying to see how good this glass performs and i'm to the point now where i can tell almost without mistake when it is used i a shot, i can almost smell it. Being a Nikon guy it bothers me, the 85mm f1,4 is excellent but (i'll dare say it even if folks may start to hate me for it) i honestly think the Canon 1.2 is better.
Then again it has to be in good hands as any lens.
Great job, a set i would be proud to have on my Hard Drive man.
Thanks guys, I still can't figure out the multi-quote function (is there one?). Anyway, to address a few things, the ladder I bought at an antique shop and left it in the trunk of my car, so i decided to justify my purchase and use it, lol. Otherwise, it serves no purpose or meaning.
Thanks SargentRay! Yes, the 85L is my go to portrait lens and I'm pretty amazed at how mine can nail focus at 1.2 even from far away. That's why I like shooting wide open from a distance.
Again, thanks to everyone who took the time out to look at my pics and comment. I really appreciate it.
A strong set, but I see a few areas where you could present these even stronger.
#3 & #4. Scroll back and forth between these two. One shows bright clear features of her face while the other is not as clear. Maybe soft or whatever, but not as clear.
#5. You may have gotten a little artsy in this one, but the bright background areas behind her are stealing the attention of your viewers. Scroll this shot to where the bright areas are absent and see the big difference.
Again, a strong set. The comments are meant to help.
Thanks Jim, I always appreciate your comments. Yes, my links do appear a bit soft on here. Here is a link to the soft one on my facebook for comparison:
