It's hard to post late in the responses - all the best adjectives have been used! Love these two sets. Some of the strong points I see are the posing, expressions and of course the light. There's lots of shots where the connection between them is so well shown.
I wonder if the trees on left and right in #3 are a good thing or if it would be better without them.
Beautiful work as always Lisa, not even going to try to pick favorites! And as much as I like your black and white coversions the color shots with the fall colors are just so much more my favorites.
These are truly gorgeous as usual! I can see how you took advantage of the sun and the shadows cast by the trees, and that helps and gives me ideas to try. I actually did attempt to work with the shadows better, and ran around like a whirling dervish, but I'm telling you, there were few shade areas large enough for the family and their dog! Always, always learning.
Thank you for the kind words guys! I totally got a giggle out of photogwest's comment. lol I try to keep the area behind me open to the sky for good light on my subjects, and when I'm back lighting (which I do a lot) I almost always filter it through something so it's not as harsh (trees, bushes, etc). Also, it helps prevent blowing out your background.

You are a true artiste . I know its your talent of course, but I'm wondering if maybe I should just move down to the Southwest and chase that light!
By the way, where did you find that grove of aspens, do they have those in AZ?

Thank you so much everyone! I'm really happy with these sets. They do have aspens in Arizona - yes! You just have to go high enough. I have a little spot near Williams that I like to use - it's gorgeous! I did Mom's maternity session there in February so there is a special tie to this place. They tried for a very long time to have this little guy so they wanted to return to this place for their family photos.
Here is one of her maternity images from the same location. It's amazing how different it looks from one season to the next.

What a beautiful series Lisa!! You sure know how to put your subjects at ease and bring out the smiles. My daughter viewed these and asked me to try something like these with her family. Geeez...., Lisa, you sure put a lot of pressure on me.
Thanks for sharing
Ed

I have no idea how old the wagon is. I wish I knew some history on it. Picked it up off of Etsy - a lady had used it in her garden for ages and was decluttering.
