Sad to say that the shutter on my GFX 50s ii jammed in the middle of a shoot last Friday. I had a backup camera (not medium format) and was also able to continue shooting with the electronic shutter on the 50s ii but I like to use strobes so wasn't super happy with the shots. I'm thinking that I will have to send it in for repair at Fujifilm. The few people I've talked to online seem to think it will probably cost around $800 to fix. If anyone has any advice or has dealt with this before let me know. Thank you in advance.

Such beautiful light on these!
Are you in CA now, or is this old work? If you're in my neck of the woods we should meet for a shoot.

Just love those lonely Alaskan roads... black and white is perfect in this one.

Thanks for the kind words, Bruce, just a quick work trip to the Bay Area but already back in Alaska! I thought you were still traveling up the Oregon and Western coast with your VW and Hassy? Maybe it's time for your trip back to Alaska, it would be great to meet up and learn from you and your experience shooting XPan here! Fall colors are just around the corner

More from the Badlands of South Dakota
June to August are tough times to be in the Badlands.... long (often brutally) hot days with small early morning and late evening periods of sweet light.
You've done some nice work owing to the challenges of the summer months.
