I shot with Hasselblad for decades and loved them. They went through a period of financial struggle and design malaise around the time digital was evolving and I didn't think investing in their digital product was a very good idea so we lost touch. Enter the X2DII 100C. I spent a week with the new model and, happily, it feels like "Hasselblad" is back. My first test was one of the toughest environments one can tackle with any camera, air to air photography. The X2DII did a great job and validated its dynamic range claim in spades. I shot my Canon R5II as well and duplicated this composition. The Canon, much as I love it, could not reproduce the dynamic range spread in the image. The lake was blown out and the aircraft was blocked up, no amount of tweaking in post could return the shot to an acceptable image.............
I shot a lot of air to air with my 500C/M and 203FE bodies, They were clunky, manual focus/manual exposure , but I made them work and the results were typical Hasselblad. This new iteration is not as speedy as our current digit full frames, Hasselblad doesn't claim that it is, but in the proper scenario for the camera it is spectacular.............
These were captured with the 90/2.5, a superb optic. Printing from a 288mb file of this quality is a joy that can't be matched by our full frames.
That second photo is bonkers! Wow. The detail is astounding. Well done!

Thank you! Our shoot got pretty fast paced toward the end so I switched over to the R5II just to make sure I captured to more aggressive shots. Once I get my copy of the X2DII I'll wade into those types of compositions and see how it does. My trusty 500C/M used to do a great job when everything came together, but compared to today's technology , it was slow going..........
