A couple from a recent trip to Berlin and the Alsace region.
Being able to go out at night without a tripod has been fun.
Bob - I see we've gone the same new camera route. We met once taking photos of the Sandhills at Sherburne. I was out at the same spot a few times this fall but didn't see any other photographers....

Slowly working through my files from Yosemite... Like everything else, this will take me a while.
Anyway, here's my second offering... right around sunset.

I finally made my first trip to Yosemite, and used a mix of FX and medium format gear. I've got quite a few pictures left to edid and process. The linked photo is my first. I chose to go with both color and b&w processing...

Spectacular light in the reflection, Bruce, and this is just your first trip to Yosemite! I'm amazed it's your first trip and can't wait to see more. Next trip, maybe it's time to return to Alaska? I'll be checking this thread more often, and hope your yearly calendar is progressing nicely! Thanks

Thanks Kalani,
I've been a bit intimidated by the whole Yosemite thing. The location is an icon for nature and landscape photographers and so much good work has been done there in the past. When visiting places like this, I worry that I'll just be looking for some kind of pre-conceived photo that I've seen in books and magazines. I have terribly high expectations related to my own photography and sometimes let my ego get in the way. In the end, I had an amazing time... though I wished for a bit of weather to make things more interesting. I've got a lot of work to review, but I'm already thinking about another visit in the winter...
