After shooting with the X2DII over the past couple of weeks, I'm hooked. I've never had files with the colors so nice out of camera, most images require next to no processing. The highlight/shadow recovery is like nothing I've ever seen before. I've been using M11-P and M11-M almost exclusively over the past couple of years, they don't come close. The hand holding on the X2DII is also something I've never experienced before, I'm getting sharp images hand-held at 2 sec more times than not. I watched several videos, heard others talk about how it opens up creative shots that other systems would struggle with, I definitely see that.
Love these! Where were these taken? The color is wild.

Yosemite Valley...
The 28P is surprisingly good in spite of its diminutive size. While Hasselblad as released a new 35-100, the price of this is more than I'm willing to spend. I am curious about the 35-70. I realize that the lens is very heavy and slow, but I would value the internal zoom for extreme weather landscape photography. Now that this lens is approaching $3000 used, it is almost "affordable."

beautiful, place I definitely want to go to
I've spent years avoiding Yosemite because of the reported crowds, and reality that it has been "over photographed." Yet, once I committed to the process, I fell in love with the landscape and its possibilities. One has to go there to understand why it is an iconic destination for landscape photographers.
X2D2 / XCD 90v. Anyone know why my Flickr images have a trail of letters after the image? This wasn’t happening a month ago and I haven’t changed how I post.

Nice stuff with the 20-35, Bob. How are you liking that lens? I'm torn on what I want my lineup to be. My only wide is the 28mm, while optically good, it isn't great. Size is great, though. I also wonder if I should have just bought the 25mm instead. I'm also curious if I should spring for the 35-100. I'm thinking yes....but I don't want to get too carried away with lenses already lol.

I'm liking this lens! With the right light, it gives nice sunstars too. It is sharp and I like having the zoom. My line up also includes the 38v and 55v and presumably, I have the 35-100 coming today. That may be it as far as the kit goes. I'm thinking maybe the 25v or 28p to give me a three prime set and then the two zoom set. That should cover it.
