Congratulations to Lisa_Holloway for winning Feature Thread of the Week with 2 votes - View Previous Winners
To avoid going crazy like I did last year, I only used two senior reps this year. I split their session into two parts and did the first half in the spring of their junior year and then did another mini shoot with them this fall to capture some of the fall colors (scarce and hard to find in the desert). We had rescheduled this session due to random things 3 times but finally made it out and got the pictures done. Really loving how they came out. The ones I'm sharing here were all shot using the 5D Mark III and natural light - no strobes, no reflectors, no tripods - all shot at F-2.0.

10 I lied. This was the 16-35L II. Yes, we were really spinning - not as fast as it may look. Slow shutter speed, very steady hands, and a lot of laughing. This was so ridiculous it was hilarious.

Love the compositions and personality captured in #1 & 5, Lisa. I also like #10. It puts me right in there sitting on the roundabout thingy with the girls and almost makes me dizzy looking at it.

Thanks guys! Catchlights are real - I always look for good pockets of light. I think I have added fake catchlights maybe 3 or 4 times ever. I do very gentle skin softening in Photoshop - very low opacity on these. They had amazing skin so I didn't need to do much.

Take a couple of beautiful young women and an extremely talented photographer and this is what you get. Great photos. Once again, you make me want to sell my cameras. ;-)

Thank you guys. I answered the tripod question in the original post. I always hand hold - never a tripod. Even though the lens is like shooting with a small child. hahaha

#10 gives me motion sickness looking at it too - which is good - I think? lol It was fun none the less. Lots of laughing and I'm sure we looked ridiculous. haha
