Why don't you post few new shots with your RX1 under A7/R + 2.8/35 lens threads and see if anyone will catch it?
And if so, your posts may only boost sales of Zeiss 2.8/35 lens.
Sebboh, seriously, direct your question to close family members and see what Santa will bring you.

Nope, I'm holding out too... I decided to see if a Speedbooster could tide me over to the next generation in 6-12 months.

ha, i feel quite certain none of my family members could imagine why i would want any more cameras.
regarding the rx1 – so far the FEZA 35/2.8 looks pretty different to me. i think people would be able to tell the difference pretty fast except stopped down near infinity.

The 35/2 Sonnar just has such a gorgeous way of rendering, its pretty unique among 35's
A7R + Noctilux f/0.95. Train was moving pretty quick and had to follow at full magnified view to get focus right at f/0.95. Does anyone know if there is a way to return immediately back to max magnification after an exposure? Having to press buttons to magnify again makes it hard to keep up with the action.

Very nice shot!
Unfortunately there is no way to return to magnified view immediately.
When I had the GXR-M, I set it up in a way to be in magnified view all the time, but will show the entire frame when the shutter release is pressed half-way. That was imo the best way to use the camera. Maybe we should ask Sony to allow for this in a future FW update.

Boy - that's a great idea. I'm going to start a thread at community.sony.com with this idea and would encourage others to do the same. While I'm not sure if the Sony folks read fm, I'm pretty sure ideas from the Sony forums get forwarded up the development chain.

Great, thanks! Maybe let them know that the Olympus E-M5 already has this feature (and I presume the newer E-M1 as well).
