I have seen hummingbirds in my yard for about a week now but today was the first time I got to take pictures of them. Amazing little creature. I was surprised that this hummer looked pretty well-fed after the exhausting migratory journey from the south.

Glad to see they have finally arrived. We have had a heavier than normal spring this year.
While traveling from the Torres del Paine region of Patagonia to El Calafate in Argentina we "happened" upon a gaggle of Andean Condors on a fresh Guanaco carcass...apparently the Guanacos routinely miss the jump and get caught in the roadside fences designed to deter them from frolicking in the road....Caracaras, Condors and Pumas have to eat too I suppose...we did see a ton of condors albeit a couple of thousand feet up so we were stoked to get relatively close to them....the longest lens I had was the 70-200 with the 2XTC so 400mm @ 5.6 being a landscape trip...
