Wonderful series. Sharp and colorful despite the lighting issues. Beautiful birds. I especially like the ones you captured that appear to be flying low to the ground/snow.
I bet you weren't wearing your sandals this time around!
B E A U T I F U L set of images Conrad... what an honor for you to photograph such magnificent birds.
Obviously you were up to the task as these are perfectly exposed and tack sharp... excellent work my friend.
My favorites are the Finnish Goshawk, the Aplomado Falcon, and the Siberian Goshawk.
And for those who don't care for this type of photography... this is what Mr Eurasian Eagle Owl thinks of you.
Hmmm, though some may not care for this type of photography Conrad the technical merits of this post IMO are astounding! I can think of more ways than not to have missed exposures and focus under these conditions. Personally I am enjoying tremendously the clean white BG's, heck much better than a silly old 'blue sky'
There is a royal standout for me, a pure wall hanger for sure............#11 and take that to the bank One of your very best IMO, terrific!
I love them all for the quality and subject, very nicely done and very nicely presented.
Now, I have to mess with you, most likely the easiest shot is the last............is it soft?
Sweet success and performance in this weather and light Conrad, you reached deep to get these and congrats from me buddy!
Karl
Oh man Conrad these shots tell such a super story and your photography skills are superb, what else could I say! Shots that capture mood, place and detail of the birds in all its photographic splendour.....
Well done CT, some of the best raptor shots are captured in those extreme conditions. I love the various goshawks and falcons, especially the aplomado.
Great shots Conrad. Thanks for being there and putting up with the extreme conditions. You were a big hit with all the falconers and we had a fun week with you.
