Micky, Just your usual coloring and retouching but most of the soft look was created with the lighting and shallow DOF.

FWIW, if you are going to include a tattoo, better it not be blurred out.

The first one looks a little scary because her head is so big compared to the rest of her body.

Maybe I would have liked to read what the tattoo said. But maybe not. Maybe it wouldn't add anything to the photo. But otherwise they look great. Love the colors, they eyes really pop, and I love the texture of her lips.

I really like almost everything about these, and think you did a stellar job.

I think the ink is an issue though, and not because I hate tats (I have one myself). My issue is that its pulling my eye as the only dark thing that's not part of her face or hair, and the fact that it is OOF just enough that I find myself straining to read it is an issue. So while I do dislike it when people jump in and hate tattoos in photos just because they hate tattoos, I think that the OOF ink in this shot does detract from what is otherwise marvelous work.

Less is more ! We should all remember that.

Nice work, pretty girl and nice eye make up.

Agree on the tat, distracting being dark, text based and OOF. If it was flowery, intricate pattern it may have been ok.

What were her feelings on the subject?

I have a tat, a squiggly line and a dot on my left wrist - don't ask.
