Taking a break from Texas . Just had to get out in the garden and see what is visiting. Still missing the Ruby Throats, but did have a couple of fun guests .
Thank you for your nits, crits and suggestions. I actually try them
Hope you enjoy,
Birdie
P.S. Thank you Karl for the suggestion on 3. Have reposted
1. Major Tom to Ground Control, coming in for landing . ( Hover and Dahlia)
These rock big time Roberta. Everything Karl wrote I second and third. Each image is just beautiful and the lady bug "clipping"'the two leaves together is just brilliant.
Eric
Beautiful set, Birdie.
No nits from me on the first three images.
But I feel there is too much of the leafs in the lady bug shot in focus.
You may wanna try a much steeper shooting angle. A challenge as I see you used the 300 for it.
Chris
There is a great deal to appreciate on #1 Birdie I'll enjoy it for what I see in it and what you created And now I can't get that tune out of my head
#2 you have everything just perfect here IMO........light, color, comp. One of the most beautiful Swallowtail B-flys shots I have seen!
#3 Now isn't that an amazing focus job! That rocks
#4 Ladybug has company above What a unique way to bond two leaves, wonderful vision here Birdie!
YOU amaze me...........
Karl
Karl, you make me . I have learned so much from you and several others about waiting for the shot, look at composition, background , processing etc. You all amaze me and make me want to emulate your fine work. So thank all you fine gentlemen for everything
Also, thanks for the tip on adding contrast to the eyes and darken the background of #3 !!
Great focus on the smaller majority Birdie, very enjoyable indeed. The garden is a good place, with all the drama of Africa.... only smaller.
Phil
PS -like the rocketman caption!
Thanks so much Phil ! Something about the little ones in the garden, just keep drawing me back to them .
You hit the nail on the head, my safari is in my garden
These rock big time Roberta. Everything Karl wrote I second and third. Each image is just beautiful and the lady bug "clipping"'the two leaves together is just brilliant.
Eric
Eric, a big thank you !!! I watched the lady bug go up and down the leaves , took several shots, but when I saw it starting to go across, I just like how it all lined up. This is just one of the many things you guys taught me about patience to watch and wait because you never know how it will play out .
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these!!
Thank you so very much. Glad you like them.
Beautiful. Love 2.
Much appreciated. Thank you.
Birdie
