The southwest has a rainy season in the summer, usually July. By the standards of the other four corners of the continental US, it would probably count as a dry season! But there are regular thunder storms and flash flooding and it's more cloudy than usual. Certainly the residents of South Asia wouldn't call it a Monsoon, but it's a cute name nonetheless. Great image Klaus!
