Beautiful set of images Nick... your compositions are always very well seen and these are certainly no exception.
I love the tall grass habitat for your opening Skimmer shot, it's very nice to see them not over water for a change.
Great job on the Oystercatcher pics... "Feeding Time" is my favorite and a very special image IMHO.

I, too, have been impressed by Morris' and other's laudatory comments about Nickerson Beach, and it's great to see the fruits of those virtues presented in such a beautiful way. Wonderful series; wish I was there myself!
I like the pictures but they are somewhat over-sharpened. There is too much of a halo around the birds. That level of sharpening might work out ok for prints but not for web display.
I hope you take this as a constructive criticism just as it is intended.
I always appreciate constructive criticism, I adjusted the sharpening and re-posted the images. Originally I had set up an action to do the sharpening, the original action was made to match my D800 files, the bird shots were made with a D4 (smaller files) and I did not catch it.
