Herb....regarding that last image:

The translucency of those wings is something we do not commonly see. Combine that with the entire bird captured within the plane of focus...I'd say you hit the bulls-eye.

Looks like a very special image... a spectacle of life. I hope it has plenty of megabytes and you can clean up any artifacts that may be there. Hard to tell for sure from here...
