After posting my peregrine shots, I realized that I've never posted photographs of the Short-eared Owls taken this past Winter… We had a great season for these owls here in Northern New Jersey and Southern New York... Crossing my fingers for even better season this year

Super work Greg,
I heard there were some on Long Island last winter. I was busy with the snowy owls so I never made it to the place where they were spotted. I hope to see one some day.

To my understanding, they aren't as rare as Snowy Owls, so you have a big chance to see them again this year. They are already on the move… Couple of them were already reported down in Cape May
