I found this little lake cove in the central Oregon Cascade mountains this past summer and couldn't resist turning the camera onto my campsite. I think I'll have to shoot my campsites more often since it adds a little interest into the photo. Shot with A7r and Zeiss 2,8/21 ZE. Enjoy!!
That does look really cool. You captured the Milky Way so nicely and got a reflection of it too. I think I would tone down the light on the tent just a bit more, it seems a little too lit for this scene. I think I tent that is just slightly lit to glow is best.
Really appreciate the comments guys! Jim, I see what you mean about the lighting coming from the tent so I'll see if I can tone that down a touch. I wanted the tent illuminated but not enough to overpower the scene.
It is a matter of taste, but the brightest parts of the milky way core can provide additional detail and color if you work on those highlights as well.
Beautiful shot, but its funny that the first thing I thought of when I saw it was mosquitoes. I was at a lake in the cascades this past summer, and got ate alive.
Great concept and vision. However, I think that the reflection is way too bright ... it really shouldn't be brighter than the night sky. The tent could also be toned down just a hair. If you darken the reflection back to normal levels I think that will really help to portray a more realistic scene and also make it look even more like night time (not that it isn't already obvious with the stars and milky way). Just my personal take on it!
