p.2 #7 · Awesome cloud over "the" Bristlecone Pine
It seems to be "the" tree. So many photos from different photogs about the same subject. That aside, it is indeed majestic looking combination which makes the foreground rocks and grasses a bit boring in comparison.
All in all, well captured and seen. But I challenge folks to find another funky looking bristlecone in that area 'cuz that cannot be THE only one

I whole heartedly agree! There are a TON of great looking trees in this area and my goal was to find something different but I was limited on time and was with a friend that has never seen this spot before so it was kind of a bucket-list spot for him. And plus that cloud just lined up pretty well that I had to take advantage of it. I think I'm done shooting "the" tree so I'll happily move on to new content next time I'm there

Yes I remember your insanely good MW shot from same location. This kind of made the same impression on me. You have excellent photos for both nighttime and daytime about this subject. I could not be happier if these were mine.

Great image. One of the best in recent memory here on FM.
I checked out your website too. You do some excellent work in low light and twilight photography.

Brilliant shot. Your photograph is a great example of how composition, lighting and timing all come together to make a great photograph that is both visually captivating and induces a sense of story/wonder. I am genuinely blown away!
