Watching the bears was an awesome experience.They're deadly serious when it comes to getting food but they're often playful when interacting with one another. To see a mother face down a larger male that comes into her territory with her cubs present is a real life drama. Her eyes are locked on him as he tests her resolve to defend her cubs to the death. I made so many photographic mistakes it's a bit surprising I came away the good shots that I did. Not the right aperture to get proper DOF, not enough shutter speed to freeze the action, etc. Despite that, it was a great trip!
