A9 Big Bronco test. I had a truck/trailer in front of the wall. Im not focused on any of that but just the top and sides. I did do a 135/85/65 comparison as well. Its only half the wall But I had the 135 very square and level but as I moved in I had to tilt up a little which it looks like it threw focus out on corners as the camera was not exactly parallel . So I'm not going to post that but it did show the 135 excellent in the corners wide open ut I still think the magic number for the 65mm is F4 as shown here these are my normal tests and everything is very level and I got better results . On center F2 is magic.
Also I did not have clear blue skies again which really helps Big Bronco sos I may redo this.
Yea it cleans up very nice at F4. I never seen a center that good wide open. Not seeing any CA and it would show up in left corner lamps and on center no question. Look at wall not lamps on left side they stick out 2 feet
I do want to go back and rerun tests in the brighter light and I want to do the 135/65 again. Its really a hard test because the focal length is double
Sharpness looks great but it has that signature jittery VC bokeh wide open... Looks like CA may be well controlled though (at least stopped down a bit)?
Here is another test all center shots between Three lenses the Sony 85 1.8/Batis 135 F2.8 and the VC 65mm F2.
I did corners here but we are going to redo this test because if you notice I had to tilt camera up as I got closer with 85 and 65 so the corners could be off but the center is not
Notice the 85 is softer at both apertures and also has CA as you see that always on this test of Big Bronco and the aluminum tie downs on the wall. 65 and 135 no CA
