Thank you! Yes, its a great spot, great views in all directions...which is good, because to get a good spot for sunrise, we got there over 3 hours before sunset! But it was great to meet some new folks and share photography stories!

Hi Don, thanks! Yep, that white blaze is the trail marker for the AT...it splits off on the way up to Grassy Ridge.

Thank you very much. Nope...I was there with about a dozen other photogs, we were packed in...to the left and even to my right! We got there three hours before sunset, and at about the 2 hours before mark I set my tripod up in this spot and didn't move it...
