Captured during a recent trip to Costa Rica - this red-eyed tree frog dozed off, while perching on a bromeliad....

This is a lovely set Joshua. I don't think the frog could have picked a lovelier perch. This set put a big smile on my face ~ Ron

Very nice Joshua. Capturing the membrane over the eyelids is really cool. When in CR last year I posed them on that flower also...

Wow ... very vibrant! First 2 are my favorites. Last image looks like an extraterrestrial creature.

Great series of images! I have seen lots of photos of these frogs but nothing like this. The multi-color eyelid and the relaxed posture makes an amazing photo.

Very cool series, loved the eyelid detail when frog was sleeping. And what better plant to perch on!

Morris, thank you and yes, its eye lids are unique and frankly, I never noticed that previously.

Thank you, Geoff! Yes, the membrane is cool. There are still places and wildlife I would like to photograph in CR; one more visit to CR and that would be it for me. How about you?

Thank you, Bobby! And believe it or not, I toned down the saturation/vibrance already.

I really appreciate your kind comment, Dave! Yes, that's something I didn't notice before until the last trip. Apparently, this guy partied hard late into the night before, uh, into the day, that is .
