That is one colorful and amazing set. That first macaw is stellar. Colour is amazing and super detail. Makes me want to go back there, but with a good camera this time. Wow.
Incredible images and species! What an Earth Day set- each is very special- having both male and female Red-legged Honey Creepers is fun. The colors are just sizzling in each, especially the 1st Macaw!
Edit: Also, #11 is adorable and #12 is just amazing.
Thanks for these

Fantastic set Birdie, thanks for posting.
In this particular moment, I wish this was the south in the 1960s where I could vote early and often...in case you didn't get the gist ......WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eric
This may be the finest set you have posted Birdie in my eyes
I guess you have given good reason to why I have a quality monitor to look at images, these are in a league of their own. You have a few that are standout '1 image posts' but you managed to keep a multi-image post amazingly strong and interesting.
You have a lovely talent to take that extra step of interpretation and ever so slightly enhance what is there, or in a good way expand on the key ingredients be it background control or accenting colors or contrasting colors, you do it so very well!
There are a few that have a few nits for me, #10 Tanager seems a bit overfished to lift the darks, #8 is a wee bit soft at the eye, #5 just doesn't balance naturally for me on lighting. With that being said, if I walked into a gallery I would own #1, #2, #6 and #12 applause:
Good eyes Birdie, good feel, good connection to the entire image!
Yes ma'am you have my vote

Nice. I'm surprised so many were feeding at once on the Cavendishia bracteata.
Thank you. Yes, it amazed me as well that so many would come to the flower with the sugar water.

Stunning. The Sooty Capped Chlorospingus and Spotted Wood Quail really jump out at me. I especially like the dark details and colors in the quail shot
Thanks Dale, I do appreciate it. It was quite dark in the woods where the quails were. I should have bumped my ISO higher , but did not think of it at the time

Superb set Roberta. 12 and 13 are stunning and I enjoyed every one of these images. I like how you started presenting photos of birds with backgrounds that were similar in color to them and all of a sudden strong contrast in colors.
Morris
Thanks so much Morris. I appreciate your artist eye and comments

Loving those macaws - you did a great job at capturing their intelligent look.
Jeff
Thanks Jeff. The macaws were really amazing. There must have been 30 or more. At one point a hawk flew over and to see all those macaws take off and fly was amazing.

I thought I had commented on this thread days ago as I've viewed it like three or four times because the images are so nice. Realized this morning I hadn't left a comment so I'm late to the party!! Great variety of images Birdie, looks like you guys had a great time on your trip and your guide did a great job getting you some beautiful setups.
