All pics taken in Kerry County, Ireland. Really like how they turned out in B/W, majority of the weather was overcast so only a few color shots that I liked from the trip.
4 very different b/w conversions, only the last one works for me (all nice images, though).
(1) too much in the middle of the contrast range (blacks are dark grey and whites are light grey)
(2) too high contrast, losing detail (see how their legs blend together and there is no detail in background). Purse (?) is totally lost against the black wall
(3) too dark and grainy. if grain was purposeful, make it more prominent.
