Also, I really dig the 500PF too. In fact, on our recent trip (drive) to Florida I actually left my 600FL at home. Portability & ease of use is invaluable (for me).

I'm worried that only the new Z 400mm F2.8S will make me consider removing my 500PF. It's a good problem to have, but eventually, I'd like to drop the F-mount glass entirely and go fully Z native...
And even then, the 500PF still will have an advantage over size, cost, and weight!

Yeah I live about 25 min from the Dam So I'm there fairly often and at least 1 day on most weekends in November and December

I'm usually over on the trailside to avoid the chaos of everyone bunched up near the dam... I like to walk down the rocks to be at water's edge beyond the boat ramp.
If you ever see someone down that way with a Z7ii and 500PF wrapped in camo, it might be me
