Can anyone recommend the Nikon 1.4E II converter? Most of the images with the 500 PF with TC are taken with the 1.4 III. I already have the II and am going to get the lens which is available but the III TC is not. Thanks!
I've had both...no real discernable difference in IQ other than possibly marginally sharper at the extreme edges of the frame. This may not be the case with the 500PF, but it is with the 300PF, 300/4AFS, 300/2.8 VRll, 500/4G, 70-200VRll, 200-500VR, and 105VR macro. I've had a few of each (tc's), and kept one of the e2's. Now the 20elll...vastly superior to the 20ell.
