No, all bobcats have a "bobtail". That's the way they all look.

Geesh man! You're killing me here Tom. You are so lucky to have a friendly kitty like this right in your backyard, let alone taking a nap on your patio.

We just recently (past 6 months) started to see a Bobcat near my house. I got a few blurry shots of him on my trail cam in the middle of the night. These are among some of the most skittish critters I have ever seen.
Man are you lucky!
