Okay so why I said B. The Sony is going to have more bite, punch , contrast . We already have seen that in samples so far. I did own the Sigma. Canon mount back when . I remember it being a little lower contrast. B looks to me on my stupid phone to have a little extra bite to it. iPad died.

Same exposure (Manual), same focus, same processing (LR default) and same aperture. Which rendering do you prefer best.
Which one is the GM 135/1.8? A or B?
Seems like A is has a slightly brighter exposure than B (GM?) based on the grass in the center area which makes me like B more as it looks more contrasty, darker in some areas which at least to my eyes give it a bit more 3Dish separation from the bench and the trunk on the back.
Pretty darn close on that shot though. But I guess B as its a bit smoother and contrasty on that shot. Want more
Thanks!

Again same manual exposure and compensated histograms (The Sigma has a very slight lower transmission)
I'm also surprised the Sigma shot looks like it has more contrast because the Sony's contrast is also very high.

Well color me surprised that B was the Sigma.
On the second shot, I will say A is Sigma since it shows the same slightly higher contrast and maybe a tad smoother in some areas. But darn they are close.

Funny how everyone assumed the slightly smoother bokeh was from the Sony! (As a Sigma 135 owner, I'm breathing a sigh of relief so far ) In the second comparison, the bright arc above the chair back seems to have a drop more red in photo A, so I'll say Sigma is the A (warmer tones). I agree that the photos are super close -- viewed separately, you couldn't tell they were from different lenses.
