These are "schweeeeeeeet" Rod!
I LOVE car shows!!!!!!
It is that "sheen" , from layers of highly polished paint work, is what I am trying to get my B&W images to look like!
SUPER! The music reference is also a BIG PLUS for me!!!!!

PS I had a 1962 Corvette that I built for the drag strip and raced it even before I had a driver's license. The drag strip is only 10 minutes from me now and still there but not for long!!!

Thanks again Dan. I'm starting to think that sheen your after is "mid range contrast", AKA the "Clarity" slider in LR. You made a comment about this not long ago about one of my pic's. If you're so inclined, and can find that comment/picture let me know and I'll look up the shot & processing data.
Me to :-). I'm frequently looking for a music tie-in to my pic's. Or if I have a song in my head, looking for an image to pair with it.
Sweet looking 'vette. 'Vettes up to '63 ruled. Stingrays were OK but up until then is what I think of as a Corvette.

2013 was thee last run here. It had a very long period early and year 2013 where nothing was raced. There was a reunion of local racers on that day. Many tears were shed!
My partner(racing and close friend..I am Caucasian) and a legend in and of his own, helped me build the engine and restore the body. We were best friends until we lined up! https://www.fredericknewspost.com/news/maryland-drag-race-legend-johnny-gaither-lived-life-in-the-fast-lane/article_71b1060e-ef1c-564f-8312-cf6063958f37.html
FYI..if you read the link, it is NOT entirely true! I worked for Bill Wilcom (owner)and we(Johnnie and I) ate together without a problem.
I could NOT agree with you more Rod on the Corvette! 1962 was the last year I got a rush when driving, racing and viewing.
I sold my 62 Vette (shown) in 1967. Less the motor. I put the motor into a 1956 Chevy I restored and drove on the street less the blower and supercharger. Sold it December 8th...dad sold my '56 Chevy in 1967 also...... left for combat in Vietnam on Dec 26th.

Ciao Dan, grazie!
Every year, on 24th of March, or on Liberation Day (25th of April), my wife and I visit that place to never forget what nazifascism was.
In these sad times, new fascisms are unfortunately emerging in response to a growing imbalance in the distribution of wealth, again putting democracies at risk. Let us not forget that both Mussolini and Hitler were elected by popular vote and, once they entered parliament, they progressively diminished its function. The totalitarianisms of the last century were nothing more than rotten democracies.

My mother and her family fled the Fascism in Italy in the 1920's for America. Serrastretta was the family name's home. I studied History in college and am well aware of what both political ideologies, the "-isms", bring to an unstable World.
Le mie più sentite condoglianze per le vostre perdite.
Ciao!
