Yes, I also really enjoy the Simera 28/1.4, both in terms of rendering and its dimensions and weight.
It simply possesses that lightness from the days of analog photography that you just don't get with AF lenses of comparable specifications to a 28/1.4.
The weight of around 350g and the 49mm filter diameter of a 28mm f/1.4 lens offer something incredibly liberating, where dimensions and weight become completely irrelevant, positively impacting the actual photographic focus.
Something that never occurs to you with a 1kg & 82mm filter diameter lens of the f/1.2 S or Plena category, however brilliant these lenses are in certain situations.
Weight and bulk are often simply a hindrance for unfocused, strolling photography.
It's precisely this aspect of photography that lends a certain lightness, whereas with a 28mm f/1.4 and autofocus, you're immediately in the realm of monstrous objects.
Especially since Thypoch has achieved, in my opinion, a very good balance here.
An optical design, relatively compact and lightweight for a 28/1.4, with a reduced number of elements/groups, inevitably has to make compromises wide open, but these are moderate.
Not a lens for users who expect perfection even at f/1.4, but it rewards with a very aesthetic rendering, a very harmonious bokeh for this focal length, and a high potential for dimensionality/plasticity.
