These are all superb. I particularly like the hooded merganser images. The first one is a prize winner. You do a great job getting down to eye level.
Dave
Thanks Dave. For most of these there was about a 10 inch drop from ground to pond level. I flipped the foot up to the top and actually held the lens/camera over the edge just above the water with the flip screen out. Arm got tired fairly quickly waiting for the ducks to swim to a good location.

You wearing a wetsuit for these? Fascinating set, really enjoyed the engagement at this perspective. That first one is off the charts! 6-7-8 are lovely images, great work and a vote
Karl
Thanks Karl. No wetsuit but the camera almost needed one as I was holding it over an edge about an inch off the water

Thanks KD....I'm pretty sure you are already as good as me and will learn the Sony system in no time. Thanks for the Vote.

My Wood Ducks headed out last week when the ice froze over.
Glad to see these, they will have to tide me over until March.
Thanks Mike...look out for some Wood Duck posts in the next month or two...there is a local pond which is still filling up with water after drying out over the summer and they are silly tame there!!

Gorgeous images of the hoodie, Geoff! All the pieces from the "models", the cooperation of the "models", the lighting and the gear seemed to have fallen into their places and then masterfully captured!
