p.1 #1 · When the cats are away, everything will play
Even though we were out looking to admire the tigers, I quickly realized that we were not in a zoo. Though I have been lucky with the tiger sightings, more often than not we have had to be happy observing the others creatures in the jungles of Madhya Pradesh (Central State) of India.

Fantastic set Bibek! The Chital shot is very unique and clever. It's a shame his nose is covered but the image still works for me. The Jackal with that light is super nice.

These are excellent! The langur and the jackal are my favorites.
You seem to have proven that even if you don't see a tiger there are superb shots available.
Regardless, keep looking for tigers and post what you get.

Dave,
Would a caption change to “Behind Bars” take the effect of the nose being covered away? I usually try not to clone but can try that also. Thanks a lot for your thoughts. I was very apprehensive about this.

Thanks Dave. These were made on my trip last March. I got the tigers and will be going back again in March. It’s become my annual trip back to visit “family”.

Nope, I wouldn't alter it any. To me at least, that's what gives it a realistic feel and strong sense of presence. Of all the images in your set, that particular one held my attention the longest because I was compelled to look closely to try and figure out where the deer actually was. It adds a bit of mystery if you will.
I suspect that image won't appeal to many here as we're all accustomed to seeing the uber sharp "in your face" image with perfect light and the subject perfectly placed in the frame. But if you look and think a little deeper, that image is a "real" as it gets and shows how such critters can be so elusive. I think it's a clever and refreshingly different wildlife image just the way you presented it.
