I love photographing Cornwall under all weather conditions, the Atlantic weather creates some amazing light shows - sometimes, the colours in the sky are so saturated that you actually need to tone them down in post-processing, rather than enhancing them.
Trevose Head's Lighthouse, in Cornwall (UK), at sunset on a truly beautiful evening. 3.2 seconds, Hasselblad X1D II, Hasselblad XCD 21mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra filters
Godrevy Lighthouse, in Cornwall (UK), at sunrise on one such mornings - a truly incredible show! 3 seconds, Hasselblad X1D, Voigtlander 15mm Super-Wide Heliar and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra filters
Thank you for viewing and commenting, best regards
Love the first one, particularly the contrasting tones of the rock/water in the bottom of the frame reflected by the dark sky and lighthouse in the top of the frame. I feel the lighthouse gets lost a bit in the second one, it's a bit less a lighthouse pic than a sunrise pic.

Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed them and #1 in particular Yes, I totally see your point, the lighthouse in #2 is a bit small, especially on a screen - it looks better on a large print

While the sky is nice in #2 it all comes together in #1. Really nice colors!

No. 1 for me also Vieri! The second just seems to lose the lighthouse in the grandeur of the sky and hues.

Thank you very much Doug, glad you enjoyed them and #1 in particular! You are totally right about #2, at screen size - #2 shines IMHO when printed large, in doing so the lighthouse doesn't get lost as much
