Great sequence Birdie. Good thing for you it took so long. I have seen Nuthatches and Jays do that, but not chickadees. They usually do it in nooks & crannies of trees.

Yes, here on Vancouver Island, we only have the Chestnut-backed Chickadee, and I have regularly observed them stashing seeds in our magnolia, and anywhere else they seem fit to retrieve them later.
They have fantastic memories for where they've stashed their food.
