I have both the Batis 135 and the Sony 70-200 G II. I was going take the 70-200 GII for international travel few months ago but ended up taking the Batis for its smaller size.

Then we should be glad that the Sony 70-200 G II was too big for you to take on your trip. The photos capture a wonderful atmosphere!
The photos were taken about half an hour before sunset on a sandbank in the North Sea. At the end of October, the light at that time had strong and warm colors. The first two images were shot with the Batis 135 at f2.8, and the third image was taken for comparison with the Batis 40/2 at f2.

The built-in lens stabilization/OSS definitely helps. I was amazed how much additional stability OSS added on top of the BIS. Bought the Sony 90mm macro for the same feature.
