Sorry for taking this thread off of pictures, but I’m curious if the thinking around Nikon 24mm lenses on higher MP DSLR bodies like the D810 are still that the 1.8G is the way to go vs the 1.4G ED?
I’m thinking about getting a wider angle for interiors and environmental portraiture for a trip to Japan in July and since the 28mm f/1.4E is still insanely expensive used, the 24mms have caught my eye. I have a line locally on a 24mm f/1.4 that would make it cheaper than most of the used 24mm f1/.8s I’m seeing, hence why I’m asking.
For what it’s worth, I definitely value character and smooth OOF over clinical sharpness, but I do plan on printing at 11x14 and maybe a max of 16x20 and don’t want prints to be dull.
