I suspect the Chex shelf is bare because this particular store has a habit of never bringing in enough stock on sale items. Other than sale items, the shelves in this store are usually well stocked.

We only have 1 food store here for quick shopping but they NEVER have enough stock! They, Food Lion, blame the supply chain!
