put you money down on it.
- dial by wire manual focus.
- spin your fstops on the inner ring since your hand is there most of the time
- good close up range
- zoom ring very well damped. no slow slide.
had this came out when the 24-70/4 did i'd have gone for this. its my favorite range. nice physical feel in use.
well at this point DxO is not yet available for the Z9 so i used my back up NR which is Neat Image v9 (just updated last week from v8). it worked pretty good and didn't require much to get there. still working on the variables for where the camera works to my satisfaction.
this camera will require that week i said to get used to. and some good reading time. took a few minutes to get the GNSS up and running. since you have so many choices now it still takes a bit to find things in the beginning. building up "my menu".

Well I have have both DxO and Topaz DeNoise - however I just need receive my Z9 (some day)
it will come. set aside some relaxed time. download the the Z9 reference guide in the meantime and start doing a cam fam. lots of stuff in there. its in my laptop and phone as a PDF. no more hard copy and its a mere 914 pages. in my opinion it needs a rewrite. . its still a Nikon mindset
This lens is looking really good. Makes me wish it were out before I got my 24-70 f/4, although it wouldn't be nearly as cheap anyway. Any word on this becoming a kit lens?
I got mine yesterday. Did some test shots. One thing that really amazes me is that its minimal focus distance simply blows both the F 70-200/4 and 70-200/2.8 out of water. It's about 1/3 of that of the 70-200/4 VR and only about 25% of that of the 2.8VRII. It's tack sharp across the board at wide open. When I get a chance. I'll post some of tests. In short, Nikon's delivered again.
