I loved the 24-120G, despite how critical many were of that lens. It was the perfect travel lens.
If the 24-120S is any better (presumably so), I'll be grabbing a copy.
Sure, my bag full of primes will outperform it, but when I'm going on a hike, I want one lens in the bag (plus my 500PF just in case I need some reach).
I've been waiting to buy a 24-X for my Z system. Initially announced as 24-105 too! So the extra 15mm is a bonus
I think a lot of it has to do with the availability of the lens to reviewers. A lot of reviewers mentioned how they only had it barely for a couple of days before they had to send it back.
I'm eagerly waiting for mine to arrive tomorrow, and it's going to be my only Z lens since I got rid of all my other z lenses recently. I've been with the Z system since the beginning and I was just buying everything as it got released because it was new, but now with a more mature system I know what I can I do without and how to simplify it.

I am kind of surprised with the lack reviews so far with this lens. All I have seen are “previews, first looks, quick impressions” etc.
Just got this in the mail and decided to try out MFD at 120mm and then zooming out in the next picture to see the difference between extremes. Camera standard v2 profile applied in lightroom and nothing else.
