Took my 24-120 around my neighborhood a bit to get a feel for it. And play with the colors of Oregon spring.
What even is this lens? How did the engineers create an optic that looks so good wide open virtually across the entire zoom range and focuses quickly/accurately?
Sure, I’m very glad i have two primes for indoors and low light, but I don’t feel like there is much I can’t shoot with this lens and make great prints. A true accomplishment.
Welcome to the Z 24-120 club I agree that Nikon really knocked it out of the park with this one.

Beautiful! But I would die… Sage is one of my worst allergies.
I'm not sure how large some of the sage fields are — hundreds of acres? — but you can smell the sage just driving nearby. Can't image what that's like for someone allergic to it!
You are kind, Rich! I found just the right profile that gave a good foundation - Camera Deep Tone Monochrome. Then some additional tweaking of contrast, whites, blacks, clarity was needed to make it sing.
