You are correct! I didn't even know that EFC was on... I had enabled it for a photo shoot on a film set, so I was trying to keep the shutter as quiet as possible. But I never turned it off! Arghh. Thanks for the heads up!
Look on the bright side, bokeh will be even better with it turned off 🙂
I've bought a total of three unbranded syoptic/mr.ding 50mm with e-mount for friends for 160-180€ including VAT and own one with the original syoptic branding - Judging from the results, I have no reason to believe the "off-brand" lenses are different from the syoptic. Still torn on whether I want the laowa 45mm 0.95 - the syoptic is such a great performer, but I have a weird affinity for the 45mm focal length...
Yes it is one of the best.
Because most 0.95 1.1 1.2 lenses are nervous wide open, so bokeh quantity can’t compensate nervous quality.
I was looking for a 0.95, but this lens is REALLY lush, with amazing transition and separation.
Perfect compromise between bokeh quantity AND quality.
It is never nervous, even against branches and such hard background.
it is optically as good as lenses costing 10 times more.
Note : I stopped searching for fast legacy lenses since Mitakon FF 0.95
And transition too
There is no obvious "cut" between focus plane and out of focus.
Something you can find on expansive medium format systems, with "slow" lenses only.
funny detail : your baby left hand is "glowing" (foreground bokeh caracteristic, different from background bokeh)
