Much of the bedrock of Gabriola Island is sandstone, and along many areas of the shoreline the rock has weathered into honeycomb or lace patterns called tafoni. The texture of the sandstone tafoni can add interesting details to landscape images.

A wonderful series of a peculiar seascape. All images are wonderful but the black and white stands out for me with the long exposure! Nice work!
